Q- How do I order?
A- First, you will submit an initial interest form on our website under the “To Order” tab. You can also email info@newbernstorks.com or call/text 252-349-0742. This will put you on the list to rent one of our storks. Because babies can be unpredictable, a delivery date and time will be set up after birth. Please call/text or email the day the baby is born for the best chance to have the stork delivered before the new parents arrive home from the hospital. At that time, we will get important information for the sign including baby’s name, birthdate and weight and you will submit payment for your order.
Q- Where will you place the stork signs?
A- We try to choose the best location to make sure you are able to get great photos and signs are visible from the road. Please let us know if you have a specific location where you would like the signs to be placed and we will do our best to fulfill your request. Utility boxes, sprinkler systems and tree roots can affect where we are able to place our signs.
Q- Does someone need to be home when the stork is delivered?
A- No, no one needs to be home for the stork to be delivered. I will text or email a picture when the stork is all set up.
Q- How soon will my stork be delivered?
A- Most storks are delivered within 12-48 hours. Make sure to contact us as soon as the baby is born for the best chance of the stork being delivered before the parents arrive home from the hospital.
Q- Do you deliver to apartment, townhouses or businesses? Do I need a traditional lawn?
A- We do not deliver our traditional storks to apartment complexes. However, if you would like to order to an apartment, you can order “just the bundle” that can be hung from any door. We can deliver to townhomes and businesses as long as there is a wide enough area of lawn for signs to be installed. We cannot install signs on rocks, crushed granite, raised flower beds, garden pots, mulch or concrete. Our stakes must be driven into the ground 10 inches for stability.
Q- How long can I rent the stork signs for?
A- Our birth announcement stork rentals are for 7 days from delivery to pick up. For events such as baby showers, gender reveals or sip and sees, storks can be rented for 1 day.
Q- Do you offer sibling or pet signs?
A- Yes, we offer proud sibling signs as well as dog or cat signs. These signs are $25 each for a 7 day rental. Our sibling and pet signs are adorable and make sure the whole family feels included. Pet and sibling signs are not keepsakes. However, if you would like to keep the pet or sibling sign, it is $10.
Q- What is your refund policy?
A- You will receive a full refund if:
- You cancel your order at least 24 hours before delivery
- We are unable to set up your sign due to severe weather conditions.
Q- How much does it cost to rent? Is there a delivery fee?
A- Our birth announcement storks are $95 for a 7 day rental. Storks for baby showers, gender reveals or sip and sees are $75 for a 1 day rental. For locations 0-15 miles from our base location of Fairfield Harbour, delivery is free. Delivery fees between $15-$35 will be added for locations 16-30 miles from our base location. Q- How can I pay for my order?
A- We accept Venmo, Paypal or cash.
Q- Where do you deliver?
A- We deliver to the following locations for free: Fairfield Harbour, New Bern, Trent Woods, Brices Creek, James City, Grantsboro, River Bend and Bridgeton. We also deliver to the following locations for an additional delivery fee: Ernul, Alliance, Bayboro, Bay City, Arapahoe, Neuse Forest, Havelock, Pollocksville, Vanceboro, Aurora, Minnesott Beach, and Oriental. These fees are estimates and an actual delivery fee will be calculated when you place your order. If your location is not on this list, please send us an email or call/text 252-349-0742 and we can see if delivery is possible and give you a custom quote.
Q- What information do you need with my order?
A- To customize the bundle, I will need the baby’s gender, name, weight, length and birth date. I will also need to know if you would like the baby’s first name, first and middle name or full name on the bundle and if you would like to add a monogram ($10). In addition, if you are interested in any sibling add on signs, I will need to know the gender and name(s) of the siblings and pets.
